|
|
Hi --
I picked some leaves yesterday, about 8, and I made sure to get a complete range of color from yellow to green, to see how my color fixing worked before the main crop came in.
Here's a pic
I'm hanging this in my garage loft where it gets 105F and 50% humid days, about 80F and 80% humid nights. We'll see!

Hi --
Of course you pick them off one by one, but only eat the ripe ones!
Just kidding (grin).
The general consensus seems to be use Safer brand insecticidal soap. Spray it on tops and bottom of leaves in the cool of the morning or late afternoon. Continue as needed.
I've tried using regular dish soap without any luck. Probably because the Safer product contains a specific kind of soap, somehow fat based (if you look it up it'll talk about that).

| You can try this stuff called Seven or Diatomaceous earth. I make a 50/50 mix of the two and dust it on. Only problem is rain washes it off and you have to reapply it. The soap is a good idea too. But I would say before you apply anything, wash as many off as you can with a good stream of water if you can get a hose up to the garden. |

I lost the link to your website so I looked all over here in this forum and couldn't find it! Could you repost it? I think maybe you should put it prominently at the top of the forum list too so casual visitors can find it. I wanted to see if you had any of the #18 cigarette tobacco leaf to sell that you mentioned in the last post.

I wasn't aware that Dan sold any tobacco leaf other than Cigar leaf? Dan do you sell Cigarette tobacco leaf? If so, I am interested.
