Hey Guys, The best I can tell you is that this tobacco is fit to roll cigars make pipe tobacco and make chewing tobacco with. The only thing that I know is it doesn't make a good cigarette. Although I do know a couple of brave souls that have tried it and say they can tolerate it in a cigarette. They must have lungs made of steel.
I'm right with you highball on the "what the gov. thinks is good or not good for me thing" If tobacco is so bad then make it illegal. obama smokes but you never hear the mainstream talking about it.
I was thinking on adding a special political forum to this site where folks can vent their views.

Dan,
I know you specialize in cigar, pipe and chew tobaccos. I don't see much local market here in cigar or pipe, but I have plenty of chew customers and I'm looking for good tobacco seeds to sell them for chew. Black mammoth, Penn red, I dunno, some Havanas are good for chew. I know a man who uses Virginia Gold, a cig tobacco, to make chew and people like it. I also would like to get some recipes for chew, especially instructions on how to "sweat" it prior to flavoring.
Myself? I smoke cigs. I like the taste of chew but don't do it. I suck the sweet out and spit it out. I grew Silk Leaf and alone it's not a great cig, but I can see that if it is added to some burley it will be as good a base as Virginia Gold for a cig or better, as it's a bit stronger in nicotine. The older varieties are usually stronger. I definitely smoke less Silk Leaf than commercial brands.
Political section? Count me in for a rant or three (grin). I have some decent links to what they are really plotting in DC now to follow up years of demonization of tobacco. Wouldn't it be ironic if they made tobacco illegal and pot legal?
Right now I'm looking to trade Silk Leaf seed for any good chewing tobacco gram for gram, so if anyone has extra seed, let me know.
Bob
